hi all just a brief hello, my nane is chris from Stoke on Trent in England, famous for its Designers, R J Mitchell, its pottery, Wedgwood Moorcroft ( i live 1/2 mile from the Moorcroft factory) and its sea captains , well one anyway! my main interest in models is scale from 1900 to the 1960,s i currently have a 1/3 scale Morane Saulnier type N,108 inch span, g62 for power 30lbs weight, built and flying. a 1/3 scale Bucker Jungmeister,G80 for power target weight 26lbs, currently being covered to fly about May, and next years project a 1/3 scale Gypsy Moth, fuselage only at present, on the smaller scale i have a YT (KMP) Spitfire, RCV 91, Cirrus Moth, 1/6 scale, Saito 80 currently on the covering list, a Leopard Moth 1/6 scale saito 40 another to cover . on the building board is a YT (KMP) September Fury, fus done motor installed, Quadra 42, that should make it go, flying buddy is doing one as Miss Merced, same motor, should be fun! and finally Flair SE5, Multiplex Cargo converted to a Fokke Wulf Condor, and a small indoor Nuiport 17 on a small brushless/lipo combo, as you see i dont do 3D or pattern, i have tried IMAC hope all this is of interest, regards chris |

CJ. Very nice work indeed. I have always had an enormous admiration for those that can still build something from a basic sketch or an old plan. I also wish I had the time and to a certain degree the patience to to do myself. Chris your very welcome here and you will find a myriad of threads and posts that will amuse and maybe even rattle a few old memories. The Flying Giants site by no means is intended to be construed as a giant scale site. We have it all if it flies. I think deep down no matter what the passion from each individual is these days when it comes to RC flight we are a group who admire each others skills and talents. Whether it be building or flying, they are respected here. Welcome and please enjoy the place. Above all participate and join in and you might just find yourself spending more time than you should here with us. Kiwi |

Chris, Welcome to the Giants. Don't worry if you don't fly 3D, there's a ton of members that don't. We like all types of flying, I fly some scale stuff myself, it's a beautiful thing. Enjoy the site, please come back often.
