Puerto Rico

Hi Guys. I'm getting too old to stand the long cold winters up here in Canada, so I've starting looking for warm locales to spend the winter months instead of freezing in the dark in the great white Canadian north. I've rented a house in Ponce, Puerto Rico for January and February, 2008 and I'm looking for a contact at a flying club in Puerto Rico. I won't have a plane with me this winter, but I just can't imagine not spending a warm sunny day watching people fly, and enjoying the company of other radio control pilots.

If someone is a member of a radio control club in P.R., or knows a member, I would really appreciate the contact.

If you rent a House in Ponce that is in the south side of the Island, there are a couple of options for you there. Towards the west side of the Island you have a club there (Hromigueros R/C club) about 45-55 minutes drive from Ponce. You can contact via PM Skinypaccino (Wilson Chapparro), also I belong to a club in the Central area of the Island in the town of Caguas (Caguas R/C airplane club), about 1 hour drive from Ponce. I'll be gladly to help you in any way I can.

There's another place near Ponce , a town call Santa Isabael (not a charter club) but the fly off an old dirt strip on the weekends. I don't have any contact there, but we can figure something out.

Any thing else that I can help you during your stay here in Puerto Rico, let me know (Resturants, Shopping malls, movies, places to go, pubs, bars, strips joints, etc.)

Hey buddy, how are you. I got married about 3.5 years ago. By the way, what a mistake. I'm still working for Centennial, this is my 8th year in the Network Operations department.

So how's everything in Boston?? Have you been able to fly to PR??

victor are you a member of tech club in 200-202 or earlier? I was a member from 1997 on to about 2002. Is Bernie still there? I saw various cuaguas RC club posts then the web site went away. I am going to be down the 26th until the 1st. I hope to get out to the field sunday the 27th. I tried to email Hector but no return. I used to fly my raptor 30, excel 60 (not very well) and lotsa electrics and some gas. I did the real time video camera a few times and was a good friend of Pepi (mellinium hobby and his dad). I also knew Ed of Ed's hobby. The filed there is nothing like what we have up here -just grass. I have to have extra large wheels on all my planes to take off with.
