well, it was BRUTRAL at todays numbthumbs 2008 , it was 26 degrees most the day and 20-30mph winds, and guess what we still managed to get a round of combat in haha, the few times the sun poled through the clouds everything stoped and we soaked it up hahah, all the layers are shed and im working on the few pics i did get, soon to update the thread. happy newyear ky!

Hey Mike, Glad you all had a good time despite the brutal weather. I'll keep an eye out for the pics.

We had a good day on monday. The weather was nice though the wind was a bit gusty, but that kept things interesting. I didn't go to the field on tuesday, I figured I'd stay home and 'fly the couch'. The older I get, the less I tollerate the cold. Especially if it's windy.
The weekend weather is looking promising, so I'll have to wait 'til then to fly the new year in. Better late that never, Right?

Welcome to FG! I fly with the E'town club with Mike and Radrich. We did have a great time yesterday despite the cold and the direct cross wind. For our size club we had a great turn out. I live in Hodgenville, birthplace of Lincoln. Come see us if your up our way.

Hey DR, thanks for the welcome and the invite. Heck, with all of the invites I've gotten from you guys it'd almost be rude of me if I didn't drop in for a visit,LOL. So I guess that I'll have to make my way up there. In warmer weather, of course. LOL!

warmer weather for sure,, once things get back to normal and its not freezing haha or the wind isnt mach 10.. the summer flying schedule is simple, every wensdaynight and all day sunday. we had great turn outs this past summer , best ive seen since iv been withthe club. heres a few shots of the fun and to remind us all of warmer days.. as you can see we also do alot of flaot flying and have a big flaot fly once a year. the big plane is flown by Brenden Jones Dan_No's son, which won at touson in his class this year, that was a fun visit! so i promise if ya make it out there will be something fun to see.. yes that sopwith camal crashed inthe pits..

Hey Mike, I definately will put your club on my list of places to go once the waether gets better! Especially for the float fly event. I've been wanting to put something on floats for a while now, so this will be the added incentive that I need to get it done.

I'll bring a hard hat just in case there are any 'loose camels' lurking about, LOL.
