Howdy Y'all from Kentucky

I joined this forum today, and thought that I'd introduce myself.

I've been in the hobby a little over a year and fly glow mainly, but I do have a few electric planes and helis. I like the 'scale' side of the hobby and have a soft spot for warbirds and vintage planes.

I'm currently working on a 1/5 scale J-3 Cub that I'm modding into a vintage bush plane. I mainly build ARFs because of time constraints, but I have been known to make alot of mods as I go just so I can end up with something different.

Enough about me. I look forward to getting aquainted with folks around here and I hope that y'all have a great New Year.

welcome to fg, youll find theres a few kentuckians here, i fly with radrich in etown, the others will chime in as well. my work has done business with the FD out there once in awhile yet im not sure where corbin is.. hehe if ya get any question feel free to ask, the guys here will find an answer for anything haha.

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, Corbin is south of London or about 75 miles south of Lexington.

Rad: No problem. Where do you fly at in Louisville?

Pitviper: I followed your link to hcrcm. Looks like you have a nice club to fly with. I'll keep an eye on your events. I try to go to the 'local' fly-ins.

Dan nO: You get an "A" in geography. I see that you're sponsored by Speeders. His new place has got more room for sure. I stop in there every time I get to the 'big city'. I need to head that way soon, I've got a gift cert. that's burning a hole in my pocket, LOL! I also try to stop in at Lew's while I'm up that way.

come on up any time BH we have new stuff going on at the field , new fence is in but need to expand the pits, and we have a overhang to put in this spring, the idea is to make it contest level hah, if you browse the galley on the site look for flyinggiants visits, this was when the mod Wizard and Dan_No and his son came out, good times!

BH, I don't fly in Louisville,...I'm the Secretary of the club in E-town (HCRCM) And since you like to fly 'local' , it just so happens we're having a "Numb Thumbs" fun fly at our field in E-town on Jan 1. Will have hot coffee, cocoa, and food as long as it lasts. Kids and better halfs welcome. Bring chairs and blankets if you want (We're kinda short on chairs but we will have heaters set up.) and it's an open invitation to anyone that wants to come out! No landing fee, but to fly, our only requirement is a current ('07 or '08) AMA card. (No exceptions on this one.) So come on out and have a blast!!!!!!!!!!
