Hi from AR. again, I have been flying on a sim. since April of 07 and i can fly all day without crashing . I can do some pretty good stunts and i can land it perfect every time. Will i be able to fly my real heli as well? I watched a video of Justin Chi [ at age four ] flying a raptor 50 after only a month and half of sim flying and he did very well so i will be very embarased if i crash my first flight after eight months of pratice I have had a couple of people tell me that i will be suprised at how much more stable the larger nitro helis are over the small elect. and how much easier they will be to fly, is this true? I will have my raptor 50 set up and ready to fly by March so if anybody can answer any of my questions or give me some advice i would really appreciate it. Thanks, Luvtoflyhelis

As long as the heli is setup properly, you should have no problem if you've learned all orientation in the sim. Just make sure your local pro go over the heli setup and be sure to have him trim it for you before the first attemp.

Its easier to fly a real heli in some respects because you have full peripheral vision so you always know where the ground is, and the visual cues are so much better in real life. On the other hand the butt pucker factor is a lot higher, the sim helis are pefectly tuned and setup, and the weather is what you make it. Don't judge yourself against Justin, there's people that have been flying for years that can't fly like that kid.

Thank you for your responces, I have been out of pocket for a while but I did get some help from a 15 year heli flyer and a couple of other guys to. I flew it for the first time on 4-19-08 and it was great, I did very well and I didn't crash. I am still in the hover stage breaking in my engine and I have a 1/2 of a gallon of fuel to go then I can let her fly, Thanks Again, LUVTOFLYHELIS PS, the butt pucker factor was very high the first time but I'm better now.
