Cool G'Day Mates, from "Downunder"

G'day everyone. Great site. I am still learning my way around.
I am from Melbourne Australia and a member of the Greensborough Model Aircraft Club. It is mid summer here and very HOT. Today is currently OK at 32 degree celsius, but we have had some 42 degree days.
(Thats 107 Farenheit) We live in a high fire danger area, so we can't fly on days of declared "Total Fire Bans".
Most days are good though.
I haven't got any "Giants", but do have a 7.5 Kg Scale Crop Duster that is used at our Air Displays, to drop lollies for the kids. Powered by an old Supertiger 3000. Almost an antique I suppose.
Keep up the good job with the site.
Please check out our web site at http://gmac.org.au/
Let me know what you think.
Regards - Graeme Anderson (plod)
(I guess that name should be ex-plod as I am now a retired copper)

Howdy Gramem , I liked the G/bouough club you have a very nice set up . Pitty about the flight direction but never the less its a nice place you have there .

I was a member for a very short while but the pony club didnt like my plane too much so I decided not to push the clubs luck and give the place a miss .

If you feel like a bit of a drive we have an IMAC comp down at Pakenham tomorrow (Sunday) . It will be a small affair but there will be a few 40% planes to have a look at and Pakenham is always a nice field to go to . We will be starting about 9.00am through to something like 2.00 or 3.00 .

I have had a couple of days over at lilydale with another retired copper (Les Marriner) . I think he just left the job and seems to be having a ball flying as much as he can . Hope you can mace it down to the comp .

Stu

Cool Re: G'Day Mates, from "Downunder"

What a small world it is Stu.

Les Marriner is a very good friend and ex-work colleague of mine.

Thanks for the invite to the Pakenham field. I do visit there a bit and will try and make it tomorrow.
