Hi from Mexico

I am Alfredo Betancourt, I live in Mexico City and have been in the hobby all my life, now I am 41 and enjoy sport and aerobatic flying and I am just getting started in Helicopters.

I am a civil engineer and work in an concesioned infrastructure development company heading the business development area.

If you ever make it up to Acuna, hop over the border and come flty with us in Del Rio TX. Our field is so close to Mexico that my cell phone sometimes picks up Mexican towers instead of US ones.

I used to go very often to Del Rio, my uncle and aunt used to have a trailer park called American Campground and I passed at least 10 summers with them, I used to go to Del Rio about 2 or 3 times per year but I never found any R/C activitie, the most I found was a small Hobby and Craft store in which I bought a Cox engine.

I really liked to ski in the Amistad dam, I have been thinking of going to Del Rio with my wife and daughters to show them where I passed many of my vacations.

Could you post some photos of your field?

I don't have any photos of it right now, and am leaving on vacation tommorrow. I'll post some when I can. We call it the "dirt field", because the runway is so barren of grass that its essentially dirt. We have a nice shelter built. I fly my 40% Wild Hare there no problem. We only have a few members so it's really easy going.
