My name is GerryDale and moved to Florida 4 years ago where I enjoy the fact that "Every day's a flying day in Florida". I am founder of DaleBuilt and my small company history and products can be viewed on www.dalebuiltgraphics.com. The air ducts have been in production for over two years and the horns are a new release after 6 months of development. There is nothing stronger and more easily installed. Absolute direct link to surface, no twisting and no play. Hope you consider them. See you at the next SE IMAC contest! |

Hi Gerry, Nice site and products! Its always fun to hang out with you and the planes you've built look first rate for sure. On the control horns, do they simply insert into a slot cut into a solid balsa block and epoxied in? Thanks, Jim

HEY GERRY! Welcome to the FG! This is a great place to keep in touch with everyone. Especially right before a contest when the smack talk starts. Monty = Smackmaster. I only wish my flying could back it up. See you Miami! |

You guys make me feel glad I joined Flying Giants! Jim, there is a complete set of instructions for installation on the website under "Hints". I cut a slot 7/16 wide and 3/4" deep in the balsa block with a table saw before gluing on the leading edge of the surface. Epoxy a soft ply block 5/16" thick x 3/4" x the appropriate length between the two halves of the horn after installing the ball link and spacer. When this is scured install in slot in surface with epoxy. I let them protrude through the upper surface and then sand the top flush, this anchors them in the upper surface as well. See them in a DaleBuilt Carden at Land of Lakes.

Hey Gerry! Very nice site. I live in Palm Coast, work in Daytona Beach and have many planes to build and purchase. My latest purchase is the Typhoon2. Unfortunately the elevator servo is bad, but, I called the company (Horizon) and they were very helpful and are sending me a new servo at no cost. Now that is great service! Can't wait to fly it. When I get ready, I will be looking you up to see what we can do to make these birds look great! I have a friend of mine in Daytona that designs and builds drones for the military. He also sells to the public on occasion. Anyone local can PM me if they have any RC airplanes or related goodies to sell. Thanx. Scott
