Default hi from Woodbridge,New Jersey

Hey everyone, after trying my luck on some other not-so-popular threads i thought i should try my luck here too

I recently moved to Woodbridge/New Jersey and i may stay here for a while. I am looking for some flying fields around here. I did search a lot and one day i decided just to drive around to see some parks where i could fly some small plane (my RC stuff is still back home). I have found this park (donno its name) where there was actually one club! Unfortunately it was AMA-only members so i couldnt fly at all but nevertheless i did managed to take some pictures and even a movie on some sweet planes and great flying pilots!

Now that park was quite far from where i'm located (~30-40mi down south) so i was still wondering if there are any flying fields closer to Woodbridge - North New Jersey/South New York/Stanten island...

So again: HELLO FROM WOODBRIDGE NEW JERSEY!

Attached are some pictures i took from the field i was telling you about... and the movie is on youtube:

Welcome . It's always a pleasure to see someone new on the site. You won't find a better source of flying buddies or information. As far as finding flying fields in your area I'd suggest joining the AMA and check out their site as they list every AMA chartered club in the USA.

Cool Video,

The park you were at is named Doorbrook Park, home of the Jersey Coast Sport Fliers(Stan will be proud of me).

Try this club, may be what you are looking for http://www.flyparcs.com/

The video looks good, wish the pilot was better though!

There is another great flying club located in Beautiful Staten Island with a great group of guys that fly everything from giant 3D gassers, pattern, glow sport planes electrics, and high speed electric ducted fans and we even recently built an rc car track. check out our website...www.amadistrictii.org/sircm.

thanks

Hehe Hi high alpha! Glad to see you here too. I'm sorry i couldnt stay too long to watch your second flight and also for not bringing my dv camera with me. That move was taken with a photocamera and the quality is not too great... But maybe next time!
Anyhow i will try to get AMA certified and join you at the flying field asap. Also thanks to everyone who sugested closer flying fields! I hope to get certified soon and get back to my second love: flying rc planes

as a side note, i also need some sources for RC gear... i visited a local shop here and i was quite dissapointed. Toys. I would prefer a quick delivery shop or even a walk in hobby shop. But if i remember High alpha's words - "there areny any good".

So where you guys order your gear from?

Kind regards,
Calin

All you need to do is go to the AMA site, and pay by the web with a credit card.
You can print the receipt, and that is good until they send you your card.
Also, you can FAX it to them, and they will fax back a receipt.

ANY receipt from the AMA, (my understanding) is good as proof of AMA coverage.

Good luck
