I remember before I maidened my 35% edge I was an inch back of where Dennis showed it on the plans and I was concerned so I called him and said it would be fine and it was, just a slight touch of down while inverted. Good luck with the flight.

Years ago, I was at an event where there were plenty of 40% Carden Edges. Dennis from Carden Aircraft was there and saw everyone was doing 3D quite a bit, so for him info, he was going around and checking everyones CG. It turned out the the range was anywhere from 6 1/2- 7 1/2" from the leading edge at the wing tip. We had ours set at 7 1/4" from LE and the plane was great at 3D'n. Dennis was even surprised at the wide range himself. No one had any problems doing 3D at all.
