Hello Jeff! Welcome to FG. This is by far the best site for anything aerobatics...bar none. You'll love it here.

As for thrust to weight, i'm gonna make a few guesses. I'm guessing your using a US41 or a Quadra42? Unless you've got some serious modifications into this engine, it will never perform quite like a modern 50cc single...i.e DA50, BME55, 3w50, ZDZ50NG, etc. It's just too heavy and not enough power.

Hey Jeff,

It's great to have you here!!

As Ramz has already said, you have found the place to get your answers.

The members here are the best you will find on the web. Always willing to help, if that's what you need, or throwing a joke out there, if you need that.

Check out the site, you'll find more things to read and see than you can do in one sitting.

As for your question, you will get different answers from different pilots, depending on their style of flying. Personally I like to have a 2 to 1 thrust to weight, if I can get it. Some guys think 1.5 to 1 is plenty, I like to do things at a lower RPM if possible.

Welcome to the Giants!!!
