Hi

I just received the video taken during one of last weekend flights, everything wen flawlessly, I just have to do a bit of editing and I'll post it.
In the meantime, here are a couple of pictures.
I just installed a smoke system, I'll post another video of that later on.

Outstanding project. Whats the differences in total weight of the wren and its pumps etc to that of a DA50 complete with ignition and exhaust?

Great video......looks a little underpowered though LOL J/K

The plane only weighs 17 pounds dry, it's probably much lighter than with a DA or similar engine because I had to move everything forward. I had to put the batteries under the cowling with velcro to balance it. The thrust from the Wren 44 is 37.5 lbs, there's certainly no lack of power.

very cool. well done. The lack of vibration would be nice for a few things. and withthat much thrust would like to see a video with out music so we can hear the turbine now to build a turbo toucan..

I'll see if we can turn the music down a little, I'll have to ask my friend Jeff, he's the one who made the video.

To everyone that doesnt all-ready see, this is one of the best guys around. Here's a small discription;

Gaston lives in the BOOONEYS, basically they have Eskimos as neighbors, yet he still managed to gather up a great group of guys and goes flying with them, every sunday in a local School gym (actually three huge gyms). If it wasnt for Gas, these guy would have no where to fly, and would have never got into indoor foamies to the extent that they now are. He holds building sessions at his own house (which is also the local giant scale club) and helps everyone put together cheap, durable, bluefoam Foamys of all shapes and sizes. Run out of glue? Gas will have a glue gun primed and hot in your hand in seconds. Smash your plane? Gas will have one built for you in a days time. Need somewhere to stay cause your girlfriend kicks you out of rex while your visiting her? GAS TO THE RESCUE!!!!

The most welcoming, honest, and all around great dude in the north!

Welcome to the Giants GAS

Andrew!

Hanmer has 2 seasons: winter, and a few months of lousy skidooing!!!!!!!! Gaston, how were the black flies this summer? I originally come from New Liskeard and that is even farther north than you!!

Hi Anderson

Our outdoor flying season is over, it's getting a little too cold, we already started to fly indoors.
I'll get more videos next summer and hopefully a bit of 3D.

Thanks for watching

Sherman 89

This summer was lousy for flying, mostly rain, wind or cold, it's been the worst for many years. It's nice to hear from someone who lived in the area, I was in New Liskeard this week for work, it's a beautiful place. If you happen to travel through this area, let me know, there's a flying field on my property.

Thanks
