Hi all, I'm Tom R. from Charleston SC. I fly at a local club, Jedburg Flyers. JedburgFlyersRC.com is the website. Been into the hobby for about 2-1/2 years. I fly all Electrics, everything from a 30" Extra 330 Suitcase profile all the way up to a 23% Edge 540 with a Hacker C50-13XL 6.7:1 on a 10S4P 8000mah Thunderpower LiPo pack. Have the Edge 540 mentioned above as well as... Fliton Extra 330L, 60", Axi 4130/16, Jeti 77, TP 6S3P 6000mah, Hangar 9 P-51 Miss America, Hacker C50 X10L 6.7:1, Jeti 77, TP 8S3P 6000mah, Hangar 9 Ultra Stick, Hacker C50 10L 6.7:1, Jeti 77, TP 6S3P 6000mah, several others like the Mini Katana, Mini Funtana, Mini Ultra Stik, Wattage Ultimate Bipe, etc... |

Hey Tom, It sounds like you have a whole stable of E-planes!! I love it!!! I have a few myself, but I fly a ton of different stuff. My latest, that's just came off the board, is a Extreme Flight 300-E. I have the Himax 35-16-1320 for the power, with TP 2100 3S 1P packs. I'll be starting with the APC 11x5.5 prop, just to check my current draw, then probably switch to the 12x6. Browse around the site, there's some cool stuff on here! Welcome to the Giants!!!

I love my Electrics, but I think I have come to realize that to go much bigger I will have to go Gas. I can't believe I just typed that. I will give a try to my next big plane, a CMP Extra 330L, 80" wingspan one time with Electric power, if it doesn't work, then the big ones are going to be Gas. Here's a couple of pics of my Electrics...    I just maidened this one last Saturday... The EFlite Brio 10  And I will maiden this one Sunday after returning from Joe Nall, the 60" Fliton Extra 330L  |
