You have to remember to find the right angle of alpha/attack that your plane likes. Also play with the throttle alot. What plane do you have, or you want to harrier with?

Hey Johann,

Great to have you on board!

One thing for sure, you need to have the plane laterally balanced. If you have a heavy wing it will always try to drop

Welcome to the Giants!!!

It might help to ask this question in a different area of the site. Not everybody looks in the "new to the Giants" threads.

Johann, the answer somewhat depends on your question. Are you asking how to deal with an existing airframe you have, or how to design it out of an airframe....?
I'm assuming you are asking how to deal with an airframe you already have. Everyone's suggestions above are good ones. I'll reiterate the idea of finding your airframe's harrier sweetspot. On many airframes, there is an angle at which the harrier will be more solid than others.

Kenny's suggestion of looking at lateral balance is great, but I'll add to it that you should look at vertical CG, IE is the plane top heavy or bottom heavy. Many airframes are very top heavy or very bottom heavy. A top heavy airplane will often seem to wingrock worse while in an upright harrier (its actually wingrocking as any other would, but the topheavy situation exagerates the wingrock).

Moving the regular CG (fore/aft) does help with some designs, but really, it just lessens the actual wingrock effects... Still a good thing.

Finally I would not suggest dialing in spoileron on your ailerons, or only using that as your last resort.

Best thing to do is learn to counteract the wingrocking tendencies. Learn to fly it out with aileron. You'll need this skill no matter what the airframe....

You can always do what I did and just get a Carden. Fixed all my problems. But serious proper throttle, foward and aft cg, wings balanced, degree of the accual harrier, wing loading, and must important experience and practice. If you check all things that have been presented by all our friends here at flying giants and it dosn't work, its time for a new plane.

King,

If your plane rocks upright but not inverted, try the vertical balance, move it down.
