Thanks for the reply alfly. I do visit crackroll, heliFreak, and Runryder. I have a Bergen EB gasser and it's about the largest there is, but I am thinking of something more like a Yamaha Rmax. Mind you, I'm just dreaming at this point. I have to finish up some other projects first. My main project right now is a scratch built 1/4 scale SE5a. Joe |

Mabe you can post some photos of your Bergen to see what it's like. I am learning how to fly Helis on the sim and it's very challenging. Also I'm learning to design and build from scratch and love it. Wich materials are you going to use for your plane? I'm experimenting with a combination of Coroplast, foam and balsa. Alf.

Thanks Mike. Here's some pics for alfycat. First one is where they live when not flying. Bell 222 and the other small one are "90 size" Xcells, both converted to 10S electric. 2 Bergens are on the middle shelf. The picture does not show it well but the Bergens are quite a bit bigger. They use 800mm blades and the Xcells are 690 and 700. Second pic is a closer shot of the gasser. Third one shows how much is done on the SE5a. One wing almost done and the parts for the second are mostly complete. It does not look like much but there is over 200 hrs in that project now. joe |

200Hrs of Fun, that's a lot! How much more hours do you think it needs? Which power plant will you use? Alf.

WOW, that is a LOT of time!! well, a lot of fun! That is fine ART! I hope you can share us pics of the whole process. For me I try to build with alternative materials to build fast and easy, not as beautiful and perfect but just to fly. I want to learn 3D and I don't want to cry if I crash. So, for risky maneuvers: fast and easy buildings with foam. Alf.
