Hi guys!! Just wanna say hello to everyone and hope to share good information. Actually I'm flying a H9 Twist/Saito 82 combo and looking around for a 50 cc gasser that comes around 15 to 16 lb. I'm leaning towards a Yak (could be QQ or TOC1) or the Airwild Extra 260 advertised at 14.75 lb w/ th DA 50. Any sugestions? Thanks. |

Hey Reinaldo, It's great to have you here!! It sounds like you're moving in the right direction, the Twist is an awesome flying plane. I've heard some great things about the 260's, so I don't think you can go wrong there. The Yaks are also supposed to be great flyers, so that's another great way to go, it's just a matter of picking the plane you like the looks of, that's what's important. If you're looking to get as much info as possible, start a thread in the Giant Scale Airframes forum, you will get much more exposure there. If you look around in that forum, there might already be a thread with all of the info you need. Welcome to the Giants!!!

Hola! It is a great place for finding a big bird information here! If I was going to try a 50cc Yak54, I would get an aerotech. They are light, well built, and affordable. Not to mention John's a member here from AeroTech for any techie questions! Welcome .

Reinaldo, Great to see you one here my friend and do I have some hopefully good news for you. We have started up a new Model Shop in Chile called Giant Scale Aviation. Blatant plug here folks but its intended to help the hobby and is not a money making venture by any means for a long time yet. We will have the Aviation Models ARF kits in stock next month and we are looking to bring one other line in as well. These will be in stock and available to all South America by using the Mercosur agreements. Our intention is to be able to place product at your door at the best possible prices, and I mean as good as USA. Its not easy and is taking a huge amount of work to get the logistics in place. The only way to do this is buying bulk, shipping by sea and using Zona franca facilities. The end result is a great product at a great price. We will have the EVO engine line, Aviation Models Line, Sullivan, Fromeco, Smart-Fly, JTEC, Weatronic, just to name a few. We are in discussion with high quality radio suppliers to cover that market as well. What ever way it goes our aim is to provide the Latin American market with IMAC sized models and promote competitions between countries in the IMAC format. Its a big challenge but we want to bring the fun and friendship closer to the masses and I feel Latin America has been missing out on this for too long. Keep your eyes and ears posted as we bring this terrific level of the hobby within the grasp of many more pilots and afficionados. The web site will be up and running soon, www.giantscaleaviation.com Its not up yet as we get all our ducks in a row but rest assured we will have you covered and soon. Kiwi |
