Default Another Newbie here: Hi from Germany!

Hi all around!

My name is Frank, i live in Leipzig in the eastern part of Germany (...uhm... and i know my english needs training again, so i'll say sorry in advance for using some words or grammar the wrong way )

...and i try to fly around our little field here right in the middle of Germanys "wild east" since 6 years now.

I am member of a little local RC flying group (what's the word for "Verein"?; see www.ackerflieger.de; nothing big there but ours ) of abt. 20 ppl flying mostly gliders, hotliners, trainers and some scale planes.

Since last years crash of my 3W XtraFun, i thought abt. getting a "just a little bit" bigger plane for training, towing and getting used to the "big toys".

So this season i was doing my first steps in that with a "monster" - Super Decathlon from Fliegerlandshop.de in Germany (4m wingspan, 24,81 kg; 1st to fly the new 116 MVVS Boxer from CZ around here )

a friend took this video some weeks ago when i trained a bit with the decathlon...
http://home.arcor.de/topsanleipzig/STOL.wmv

OK, truly nothing for 3D but a biiiig towing monster and aerobatic trainer with outstanding STOL cap's - and the best: its MINE

My next dream will be some kind of Suchhoi or Yak around 3m wingspan with a 215cc Moki radial engine from airworld.de

OK, radial engines are heavy, a 150cc Boxer has more power but have you ever heard one of those with the right end tubes?
http://home.arcor.de/topsanleipzig/Motoerchen.wmv

I already have the engine but buying a plane for it and all the things needed will take a (longer) while - according to the "when and how much money" like always...

...and because of the "how much money", i will start a bit smaller on the aerobatics and 3D - things with a 50cc Yak or Extra this winter

OK, enough from myself - again a big hello to all of you - i really like to read and look around here !

Greetings from Leipzig/ Germany de Frank

Hi friends!

Thx for that warm welcome!

Man, the Site is huge - have been here yesterday until early in the morning today

Looked a lot around here and on some other sites the last days, collecting a lot of infos abt. 50cc - models. This winter, I want to buy one of those in ARF.

Alo found a lot of helpful infos and hints - the FG - Forums have been helpful already for me.

OK, enough for now - i like this site, great work!

Best regards from Leipzig, right in the middle of Germanys "wild East"

Frank
