| See that’s probably a setup problem. I could hold a hover at a tad above half throttle, I had no throttle curve and the arm on the carb was half way through the travel when I was hovering. It all depends upon the needles on the engine and the prop. I was using a 16X4 and no spinner. I think that my high speed needle was only turned out 1.5 turns too. If I turned it out to 2 turns the airplane would fall like a wounded duck from a hover because the engine was not getting enough power. With a saito 100 on the ground you should be getting 9600 rpm easily with 30% and a 16X4 apc. With a 125 I imagine you should get a couple hundred more. A slight change in the high speed needle setting can have a great effect on engine power in flight..... that and using suck props. |

Im using no throttle curve either and my throttle arm is also half when the stick is at half. The engine is a little rich at first but if I lean it out anymore it gets too lean after about half a tank. It does have better power when the tank is half or below. This is only my second 4 stroke so im not real sure about tuning my first was a ys 110, never got it running good. I think Ill stick with gas. randy |

If your looking for a 3d type plane for the saito 100 i would suggest teh tmpro kat 70. I personally use a 91fx on mine but the saito would be awsome. Great plane to learn stuff on. Very little to no coupling its a winner in my opinion. Check it out http://ohiomodelplanes.com/62katanaarf/ and nice flying casey did you get bored decaling up that yak?

Go with a YS 110. It has very good power and if you don't run out of fuel first you will never have a deadstick. Use 30% heli fuel it's a match made in heaven. You may need to add some nose weight because it's a little nose heavy.

100 will fly it ok but at the cost of... no hovers no vertical not even at peak running 30 % heli period
