weak, use a saito 125 or the 150. I have the 90 with a saito 150 gk and it balances perfect with the servos in the tail, no extra weight.

I have the new funtana X 100, and i have a saito 100 in it, and the power is good but not what you want for all out 3D! The 100 would work fine also ,because im guessing you have the old one, it is lighter. It just wouldent give you the extra punch!
Hope that helps,
nick

funtana and the Saito 100 were a disaster. Not a single person I know has been able to make it work for anything other than flying in circles. I have a YS120 on mine and that is plenty, but then again it is a YS. I have heard the Saito 125 is a little weak too, but I have not seen it for myself.

Bottom line: The Saito 100...forget it.
Nice engine, but not for the Funtana.

Thanks for your help guys

I'm looking for a plane to go onto from a funtana 40 (with saito 82a) but not giant scale just yet and the opportunity has come up to get a saito 100 cheap from a freind and it has hardly been used

Sweet video casey-You are one hell of a pilot

i just got a new plane to put my saito 100 on and its the fliton edge 540 freestyle.
flys way better then the funtana 40 imho. knife edges are crazy easy.
if u get a plane i sugest u get the edge or extra and put the 100 up front
www.fliton.com u can find them there.

I had the old yellow funtana 90 and a saito 100 for over a year and probably put 30 gallons through it and it was a great combination. I had to stick a big nimh 5 cell on a stick out next to the engine to get it to balance and the engine needed to be leaned out all the way to give decent vertical performance but it flew well and I could hover and do all the tricks in the book all day long.

If you have that engine already the funtana would be a good plane for it but there are much better airplanes out right now that would be better suited.

what sucks is that you have to use 30% nitro and right now it is like $25 a gallon and more in some places. It was not that expensive for me a couple of years ago but I would deffinately use a 2 stroke now if I could, maybe an os 120ax or something like that.

I have a Funtana 100 with a saito 125 using 30% heli fuel , it takes 3/4 throttle to hold a hover.
