Help! Good Gassers

Okay, I can't make up my mind. I had a WH 28% Extra, good plane well priced and very sturdy. Had to sell due to lack of funds. Now I wish I had kept it.
Now that I would like to go back I just can't make up my mind. Mostly everything that I've looked at is outrageously priced. But I'm not familiar with other brands.
Example Aeroworks Extra 260 is roughly $630 plus shipping. Looks like a nice plane and I've seen the construction of this plane and looks pretty promising. So help me make a desicion.

Yeah, I should probably revise this thread. I'm chatting with a guy from BME about there 50cc Edge that he has a deal on. $399 plus shipping. I'm actually working with Tom at Wild Hare so I will probably get in contact with him before I make any desicions.

I don't think your going to get an accurate poll. You want to know what people like best through a poll, but you have conditions one of which is cost.

Yeah, I mean I guess your right that I have to pick what suits me, but I would like to pick what is most popular, and flys well.
And I'm familiar with composite-arf, so I don't have problem going that way.

Just know that comp arf will be 2 times the cost of any of the others.
Great planes.. but limited budget and Comp arf don't fit well in the same sentence.

That and the fact that they don't make a 50cc size plane worth buying - the 2X2 is too small with too high a wingloading, and the 2.3 is too heavy for a DA 50 to YANK around. 2.6m and up, though, they are definitely top-notch!

If budget is on your mind, WH is the way to go. I like their new Extra 300.
The reason the QB line from Aeroworks is more expensive is because they have an ULTRA complete, 100% useable hardware package (you really only need to buy the engine mount bolts), and are way more finished than most ARF's. You can literally build them in 8-10 hours. The quality is also outstanding.

My dad has the AW 50cc Yak and also the AW 50cc Katana S. Both are great flying planes and the construction is top notch. We are also thinking about getting the AW 42% Extra 260 because we like the line of planes AW is putting out. The price is a little high on the AW planes, but you have to remember that the price is for the QB aspect. Everything is basically done except for putting in your electronics and mounting up the engine. In my book AW defiantly puts out great flying planes for the price.

Nick, So what's the true wing area on the 50cc 260? it seems a little low at 1200, but I don't think that's totaly accurate either right??
