Cut grass, for $1.00 per hour. Started when I was about 8. When I was 11, I started working in the summers, putting in tobacco (still cut grass, too). That was hard work but the pay was good, and paid for all my model airplane activities when I was growing up.

My first somewhat steady, year-round job was working at the local hooby shop in Longview,TX. They actually PAID me!...I'd probably have done it for nothing. (35 years ago)

Started at age 8 driving a tractor mowing grass on the family farm for $1/hr. I picked corn by hand that summer and I thought I was in heaven making $2.50/hr.

Worked for my mom's asphalt sealing business in the summer. Started when I was 12 for $4.00/hr cash. Did that for approx 8 years then switched to my family's paving business as an equipment operator. Been here ever since but now I'm the chief estimator and sec-treas. Sure glad I sat in college for four years to get an aviation degree LOL.

I worked at a fish tank warehouse when I was 14. The guy sold large fishtanks an exotic fish. I had to wash coral in a big thing of bleach. I also got to work on other people ponds once in a while....I took all this knowledge and did this in the backyard of my old house(with help from my dad)......
