Paper boy was my first real Job. Started that when I was 9 or 10. I started with one route, and by the time I quit doing it I had 5 routes. Delivering 200+ Sunday Washington posts got to be a real Mutha. Then I moved on to shoveling snow and cutting lawns. Then did a stint a petrolium distribution specialist. Then worked as an auto mechanic. Then I trained as a machinist and did that for a few years. Then I decided to go back to school, and then on to my current position. Jack of all trades. Machinist/programmer/cad tech/designer/circut board manufacturer/IT/what even needs to be done. I don't do windows, and I don't clean toilets, and I will not work for a Union. Anything else is fair game. Mike |

I was 19. Unloading imported boxes of wicker baskets from trucks, unpacking them, and then stocking shelves with said wicker! When boxes contained spiders, of unknown origins, they would get tossed in a pile and burned. Such fond memories. That lasted about 4 months. Then I moved up to a helicopter shop....ended up sanding the paint off rotor blades for the better part of a year. That was fun too!

Teaching school kids how to build small robotic kits. I think I made like $20 a day but I was only 12 or so at the time. A few years later I was repairing computers for $7 an hour.
