We are already seeing new more cost friendly motors coming out. Who remembers a couple years ago when a good brushless motor was a Razor and it was like 100 bucks? Gearbox! Yuck! 2 years is not a lot of time and look at how far things have come. Since the technology is pretty much already there and just has to be perfected, it should be a short time! hopefully.
Someone, I believe it's Hyperion, already has a 2100 3 cell that claims equivelant performance to the TP Prolites and is like $10-15 cheaper...

around the 300kmh mark out of a dive. I havnt had a speed gun on it but the bloke who had it recorded 281kmh with not much height for a dive because of low cloud, so 300 should be fairly easy to attain.

I have 2 Super Extras, 1 Rev II, and a Giles from 3D Foamy. A Shocky Edge with a VPP. An E-Flite Ulti and a Tensor. Also a Quick Sweet 16 Heli, the pro version all carbon and metal head with CF blades. I still have my old Zagi with an Astro 10 and its little brother the Razer with a brushless waiting to go in.

I think that's it, besides several motors, Hacker and Himaxx, with a buttload of Li-Po's.

I have 2 shocks, a 38" pylon racer on the building board- styro/balsa wings and a glass fuse.
As far as the motors, I always make my own motors- haven't found anything better and cheaper!!
