Nope I'm still finishing a few projects before I'm going to complete this one. I heard it was an awesome plane and it's LIGHT!!! Should come in at 11 +- .5, and I calculated a top motor output of about 21 lbs of thrust @ 60 amps on a 26x8!!! I'm excited!

WOW! That's a huge prop...I figured it'd be about a 22" prop. You are using an outrunner, right?

Yup! I was pretty surprised when I was told to use that also. I can use "anything that will normally fit either a DA-100 to a DA-150." Nice part is that it doesn't have to be a special electric prop. It will run on any generic wood prop also.

youngflyer:

I forsee prices to drop CONSIDERABLY sometime this year. In talking about batteries with some people who deal with production, there will be new batteries coming out that are a fraction of the cost of packs right now. The details were amazing! We are already seeing new more cost friendly motors coming out. Who remembers a couple years ago when a good brushless motor was a Razor and it was like 100 bucks? Gearbox! Yuck! 2 years is not a lot of time and look at how far things have come. Since the technology is pretty much already there and just has to be perfected, it should be a short time! hopefully.
