| Previously Mother Huckin! ![]() | I'm very interested and would definitely attend unless I had something too important on the calendar. Sounds ilke a great event. I have to agree with everyone else though, 16 and under is too limiting. If held in '07 I would be 17. Do you know what time of year you would want to be holding this?

| Super Contributer ![]() | Thanks guys for all your input! I appreciate it! Keep ideas coming. I have plenty of time to work on this so any ideas will be helpful throughout the year. This event would definately happen during the summer so it would not interfere with school. It sounds like 18 and under may be the way to go on the age also. Keep giving me input on this. Yes, there would definately be freestyle. Personally, I would like to even focus maybe a little more on that end of it since so many of the younger generation seem to enjoy this more and many sharpen their skills at 3D before the pattern stuff. Although flying the patterns is very important and I am by no means making this any less important. Fly pattern or go home. The classes would be something that we really need to take time and think about. Since this is to be a premier "youth" event (the top youth of the RC world), this would be for expert pilots and not those that are still flying a trainer. I guess that is where I feel this could be an extension of the Youth Masters as this would be a field of the best of the best. Just as in the Don Lowe where everyone is in the unlimited class, there should be some kind of top class only for this event. This also raises the question of glow versus gas. Do you split the class, fly them together, or make it giant scale gas only. If this is to be the best of the best, we need to carefully consider the class. Too many classes and inexperienced pilots will tend to take away from what this is all about. This is not meant to discourage the beginner but this would be their next step up from competing in the Youth Masters. As for exact time, it is way to early to nail that down yet. Biff also explained to me that if we can work with him on this, that he would possibly come to MC the event and give it plenty of coverage on the FG site. I think he will help us alot on this so I would definately like to try and schedule a time when hopefully he could get here as well. I have talked to a few people over the weekend about helping and so far everyone is on board with this as long as schedule works out. Hopefully we can hear from some of the manufacture's reps to see if any would help with prize money and/or prizes to give away to the placing pilots. If we could really get the ball rolling on this, we could even open up room for vendors to come and display/sell their stuff. Demo's etc. could be included. Keep the ideas coming guys, your input will help make this event happen! Thanks! Tom Arnold |

| Super Contributer ![]() | Stephen, Right here in south/cental Ohio. I know this is a long way from you but hopefully you could come anyway. RC is huge in the midwest and I think this location may give way for a better lineup of pilots. The summer here is usually not crazy hot all the time so comfortable weather might help us out. Give me some thoughts on the class/classes. I want to make it fair to all but also want to make it for the most skilled youth pilots. I want tp give you a place to let all your hard work and dedication to the hobby shine and a chance to bring home a really nice prize of some kind without having to compete with all the adults and politics out there. Thanks for input! Tom |

| Previously Mother Huckin! ![]() | I really like the direction you're going with this Tom. Can't wait to see how it turns out. As far as classes: The contestants would of have to of successfully competed in pattern/imac to be considered, and then make perhaps form the difficulty of the pattern around the caliber of flyers you can get (which would be determined by their past success in pattern/imac). I don't know though. Like other people are saying, there would be a very large spectrum of abilities. This one is harder to figure out.
