Here I have a new answer for them.
Why don't you buy one and find out, or you can out to the field and find out.
Lets just face it. Nobody likes to answer questions.

I am in 8th grade and we had a hobby fair so I brought in one of my little planes, my mini funtana X and I was talking about it getting the usual question like "How fast does it go", "Do you build them?". Then, I get my favorite question of all....."Where you get that thing, at pep boys?"

It is very funny to see how much lack or knowledge people who aren't familar with the hobby have.

Wow I've never had that one, but I did get this the other day, "How do you power it" and I should have said this,
"It's got a high power rubberband and I can tie extra tight so it goes real high, then I just glide it down.

Yeah that's just me being sarcastic. But anyway I guess we just have to face the fact that people who arent' interested will remail clueless.

Sounds like we all have the same classic situations... normally if I said something sarcastic people will run around the school and tell everyone I fly planes powered by elastic bands for example! Now I can't call anyone immature or childish without the response "at least I don't fly model planes" or "enjoy flying your model planes" or worse " nnnneeeooooooowwwww" followed by them running around with there arms out....and I'm 14! Although I don't really see what’s so immature about flying planes... and yeh its extremely hilarious to see the lack of knowledge some people have... "how high to they go?" or "how fast?"....annoying!

That is THE most asked question I've ever been asked. Period. I always just say "You'll lose sight of it before you lose control."

I'm doing a demo for an aviation camp tonight... I'm sure I'll get all the classic questions. Could be some even better questions than normal, since I'm demoing my FF Blender and new T-28 with full in-flight wireless telemetry and video. Oh, this is always fun...

Here's the list from tonight:

How high will it go?
How far will it go?
How much did it cost?
CAN I FLY IT?
Will you crash it?
Can you do that again?
Betcha can't do that again.
Third times the charm.
Ok, then TRY to crash it.

And the best of them all...
Is that magic?
