I look at the airplane, but I'm not looking "at" any specific area of the airplane... It's like I see it in my periphery, even though I'm looking right at it... It's a zen thing...

I usually have my eyes centered around where the spar would pass thru the fuse... or where the wing tube goes thru... occassionally I look at the exhaust as it comes around "Feet In"... If
I look at the rudder to see how close I am... I mess up

Well........ When I'm flying our CAP 232, I am totally relaxed and just keep an eye on the canopy area in general. When son Kyle flies it, I try not to watch him when he is down low. To keep me occupied when he IS down low, I take alternating glances at the depleting money supply in my wallet and the level on my container of Maalox............

i watch the tail , you can see alot quicker the pitch of the plane and where the ground is.
