Default Jacksonville or Embry???

Well I got in a letter today explaining I got accepted to Jacksonville University in Florida. Now it is time for a choice. I am leaning towards Jacksonville due to money wise! I plan to visit both schools in two weeks.

Kevin,
If you plan a future in aviation I recommend Embry.

Embry Riddle's only reason for existance is their ability to make you think that if you don't go there, you won't have a future in aviation.

Ask yourself what type of career you would like, then, see which school has the best cirriculum to get you there.

I just visited Embry Riddle last week. It looks like an awesome school. Everyones attitude toward aviation is amazing. If you are not interested in a career in aviation or engineering I don't think it would be the best school, but if you are it seems to be one of the best. It would be nice to know if there are any R/C fields near there

Jax, take it from someone who went to ERAU...This is if you are thinking of the professional pilot type program only. If you want engineering then look into ERAU, PURDUE etc. Heck Purdue has a heck of a flight program and aviation program also. CHEAAAAAAPER.
I do know that if you do go to ERAU for aviation (flight) you are gauranteed a $100,000+ debt but you will land that $18000.00 yr job....Like everyone else with the same flight time.

Oh yea one more thing, I highly suggest those that want to fly get a degree in a field you love to do. That way when you loose your medical for some reason you can find a job and enjoy it. It only takes one small thing for this to happen and trust me it can. I know......

Well today I visit Embry-Riddle. one word. WOW. Cant believe the things this school offers. Luckily getting my pilots license before I go to Riddle I will be a step ahead. I really like the simulator flying before going up in the real thing also. I have though decided I will get another degree. Not just flying but also engineering.

It's just me, but I'm going to Embry. I'm at a community college now and am just going to transfer but it's like I don't have any motivation here because I'm not actually like at Embry now. If I were there I would actually WANT to go to class. My vote gets for Embry Riddle. I'm going to be visiting sometime within the next few weeks
