Wouldn't a O.S. 46 FX be good enough for this plane?
It is recommended on the internet.

Thanks. I left the underside the same as the original so it is still yellow and it is pretty easy to see.

It would work but you would mainly only be able to do pattern....no 3d. You will be wanting more power in it in no time.

I had one with a Magnum 52 2-stroke for starters. Not enough for 3-D. Swapped in a Saito 82 and it was ballistic.

I have an O.S. .91fx on my funtana 40 swinging an apc 15x4w. Awesome power to say the least! haha. Your funtana looks great Ion01, I did a little customizing to mine too, nothing major. Left the bottom as it came as well. The white base coat begs for a little customizing!

Nice plane !!!
But I gues an .61 2stroke will be more than enough power.
Or not???
P.S. How much nitro do you guys fly with?

lafus maximus....Im very interested in your setup. Did you have any balance issue with the 91fx? How is the prop clearance? Does it fly heavy with the larger engine? I would take you had to use a bigger gas tank. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Smokey

Nice plane Lafus Maximus. The .61 is more than enough power. It has been to windy for me to see where it hovers straight nose up with the 14x4w but on a 12x6 it hovered under half thottle. I use 25%-30% nitro......I think...I can't remember for sure but its pretty high. I know its cool power. I love that stuff. If you can afford a 4 stroke that is the way to go but my buget was pretty low at the time when I got mine.

I habe the Funtana 40 with an OS 50sx with a Pefa Power Pipe.
Weight is 2,45 kg and the engine is still running rich.
Sure itīs not the super powerplant, but itīs enough for most of the stuff.
