My KMP yak is 18.5 lbs. I too found it to have some wing rock upright and none inverted (as with most planes). I found that the best way to minimize the rock is to stall the plane, flip to high rates and hold full up at idle and let the plane come down smoothly. you shouldn't have any rock at this time. then SLOWLY and SMOOTHLY add power, DON'T blip the throttle. you continue to add throttle and hold full up until it has stop decending and the nose is at angle of 45 or higher. than smoothly move the thottle if needed and let off the elevator ONLY if its required. this is the techniqe I use and seems to keep the rocking at bay. try it on your yak, it should work well.

I can hover but I really dont like doing it a lot. Only time it is really fun to hover now is if you have like 3-5 guys out there all wanting to hover at the same time. But for daily flying I might pop it up one or two times and that is it. What I did learn to hover on was a Magic. Which to me with that airplane set up just right it was the best to learn to hover on glow wise. Electrics is a different story.

No you're not the only one. I have a friend who lacks the ability to do anything really 3d. He just kind of lacks the real control of the plane. So don't feel bad.

Don't feel bad I'm been having trouble hovering for the past two years. I was talking to a good friend about hovering and how long I've trying. He said no problem I can have you hovering perfectly in about 20 minutes, I said no way. He bet me lunch and I took him on. WRONG thing to do. We went out to cable airport and jumped into his full size heli, and guess what. He had me hovering perfectly in about 20 minutes. Be careful to whom you talk to.
