DO NOT REGLUE THEM! They are CA hinges. This means they are already saturated with CA, and will not be able to hold anymore. This is the key to a CA hinge. Besides they were not installed properly in the first place, as mentioned in an earlier post. Your best bet would be to either install new CA hinges next to the existing positions, or cut slots where the existing CA hinges are located, and install flat pin hinges, such as Klett's.

Definately go with the Du-Bro ones (the pin type hinges). That's what I did on mine. I have 4 on each elevator half, 4 on the rudder and like 6 or so on each aileron half. Use some Gorilla Glue and you're set to go. I get alot of deflection since they are pinned and don't have that much resistance. Over 50° on elevator and almost 57° on the ailerons.

I also have the Saito 100 on mine (REDICULOUS POWER!!) and would never do a wide open blender. I have done about a 3/4 and nothing happened to the elevators.....oh wait that was when I did the blender and the WHOLE RIGHT WING SNAPPED OFF at the root! That was a fun time!!

But just like Boulder said you have to test the plane. If something breaks then you won't do that same thing again!!! LOL

Anyways, good luck with the rebuild and good thing that you got it down!!

Also you might have wanted some more hinge material actually inside the wood. Looks like you might not have enough that would go inside the wood to "catch it". Looks like they are the stock hinges?

Good luck

~Michael~
