I'm looking to put an on board glow driver on my Super Chipmunk can I get any recommendations on what brand to get. I've never had one on a plane so I know very little about them. I appreciate what ever information you can share. thx

I just made my own for a ST2300 engine that was giving me a headache, now the engine runs much better and after many flights the glow plug seems to be in good condition. Here is what I did, I connected a 2200 mah Nicd battery to a switch and from there to the engine. One cable attached to any screw of the engine (ground) and the positive to the glow plug. Be aware that the glow plug draws around 2 to 3 amps.

Thanks for the info, I have one question however. How did you attach to the glow pug? Did you hard wire to it or just get a glow plug connector and attach the wire to connector? Thanks again.

What I did was, first I cut a couple of mm of silicon tubing and placed it on the tip of the glow plug (as insulation) then I wrapped the red cable coming from the switch on the remaining part of the tip and lastly I used a collar to trap the cable. In other words the cable got sandwiched between the silicon tubing and the collar. Hope I make sense.
