Default First Big Build

Myself and a couple buddies are planning to build the D&L Design Edge 540 27.4% and are planning on using the DA 50 for the engine. has anyone flown this aircraft and what would the recommended setup be. According to the manufactor they spec the following. what else would anyone reccomend putting in this bird....this is our first expiereance with big scale.

(2) 70oz servos for the rudder
(2) 55oz servos for the elevator
(1) 70oz servo for the ailerons

You might want to consider using slightly more powerful servo's. They need to be metal gear for all of the flying controls. The Hitec digitals are very reasonable.

You are going to need at least 150 oz of torque for the rudder. Everything else you need at least 100oz. I would suggest HS-5645's on everything except rudder. Then at least a HS-985 or 5985. And of course, they MUST be metal geared. Battery, you should use a 6 volt nicad or nihm with a regulator. Hope this helps!
