Default Re: 20 cc engine ona Funtana X 100"??

I put a Zenoah G26ei in my Funtana x100 and it flew great. Good vertical, plenty of pull out from hover... although I cant hover for more than a few seconds. I only flew it 5 times with the engine before I crashed it.

If you do decide on a Evolution 26GT and tuned pipe?
Hear is a Karl Mueller Header on a MVVS 26cc Now you can put a tuned pipe or canister behind this and there would be no cowl butchering these are beautiful kgamueller@rogers.com
NOW HOW NARROW DO YOU WANT? This is only 1 3/4 from motor center to outside
of header at widest point.
What I need to know is the vertical distance from the center of the
exhaust to the center of where the pipe will be when mounted in the
model and whether your engine is mounted straight inverted or
rotated by a certain number of degrees from the vertical.
A standard thrust offset of 2 1/2º right and 1 1/2º down will be
built into the header. If different, please advise.
The cost for the header is $45.00US plus $8.00US
for shipping by airmail for a total of $53.00US.
Payment can be made by Int. Money Order, PayPal or
Western Union. Cannot process Plastic at this time.
Allow 4-5 Days for shipping after receipt of order.
Please forward complete mailing address with order.
He custom makes these to your specifications how much better can you get?

Brian,
Do you have any experience with the evo 26? I really like the looks of this header. What tuned pipe would you run with it.

ROBNBAY, From my own experience running the MVVS 26, I would suggest you get their own pipe 3266 is the model number. Some people do also swear by the 3268 pipe which was actually designed for the MVVS 35cc.

Of course a nice lightweight carbon pipe would be better for weight savings

Thanks,
I was going to get the evolution tuned pipe from Horizon, but they are on backorder. I found the MVVS site and I am going to order the #3266. It is actually the same price after shipping. What distance should the inlet be from the fuselage. I would like to order this header but do not know the measurements of the pipe and how far the inlet should be mounted from the fuse. Also what size coupler should I order. I can not seem to find the inlet size on the MVVS site.

ROBNBAY, 20mm diameter for the 3266 and 22mm Diameter for the 3268

Brian, thanks for the links, I will definitely try the tune pipe mod to save weight as well as gain power

I have a YS 110 in my funtanax 100 and it is unbelievable and tips the scale at just over 9 pounds. I thought I would try an evo 26 in my 67 inch edge 540 it was a dissapointment. You just don't have the power to pull out of anything with the small gassers.

stommerd27, thats strange, the evo26 should have given you reasonable punch out from a hover with an 18x6 wide blade prop.
