MalaysianFlyer, That could be true I am new to this hobby and haven't had a lot of help from other club members. I was flying it with an 18x10 because that is what I was told would work best. Probably because most of the people in my club are the type that just fly around in circles. Not much 3D except for a couple of us. We are recruiting though. 3D draws in people when they come out to see us fly. The old guys don't like it but they are not the future of our club. Its the newbies. Any way I might have to switch props and try it again. Thanks for the input.

stommerd27, no problem, glad to share information with everyone. I am lucky in the sense that there are a number of 3D guys flying with me,and the local MVVS agent is a good friend, so I get to experiment with the engine a fair amount. One of the best props on this engine would be a Bolly 18x6 wood, but we have also use the APC 18x6W with success. You should get at least 8k+rpm on the ground with this prop, as high as 8500 is possible. This is extracted from the Netherlands site for MVVS, run by a guy called Pe Reivers. Great guy, always offers help and support even if you did not buy the engine from him, lots of good info on his site www.mvvs.nl Typical rpm figures: Prop-dimension-rpm-muffler APC 16/12 7300-7400 3266 APC 16/10 8100-8300 3266 APC 18x8N 8100-8200 3266 Mejzlik 18/8 8100-8200 3266 Mejzlik 18/8 7200-7300 3270 Mejzlik 18/8 6700-6800 3298 Hope it works for you. |

look to the picture in my avatar. it was a funtanna 100 with the g20 it was perfect. the air frame may not last with a 26 or bigger as its nothing but covered sticks.especialy if you run it with the wing off during testing. the crash was due to a specktrum brown out with no time to recover. that was my 2nd funtanna and that had a evo 100 that was ok but no where as good as the 20 gasser.
