Help! Check this out 35% hanger9 extra 260

Hello,
Well I just bought a hanger 9 35% extra 260 and I was wondering if the Da-85 would be enough power for the plane also if so, If I put 1 can muffler on it would that affect the way it flys since there is one can on one side of the plane? thanks

Did you weight it yet? I would think it would be fine but get your weight first. Then make up your mind what motor to run 85cc -110cc
Good luck with your new plane. Send pix would like to see

I've heard that the 85 puts out close to the same output as the DA 100 only a little smoother. I'm not positive on that. But if was my plane then I would put a 3W 106 on the nose. Same weight or close to the 100 only more power. Just my .02

I fly the H9 260 with a DA-85 and it's an excellent combo... There are several threads on FG related to this airframe with different powerplants... Just use the search function...

Merry Christmas...

I agee with thewrap (finally). But yes, the DA-85 is probably enough for good 3D and some nice IMAC. I would use a tuned pipe, like a Greve pipe or KS-1090. You should mount the motor inverted with a wraparound header and that needs the pipe or can mounted in the middle. Not off to a side. Good luck!
