Default sig Cap vs. new wild hare 25% extra

hey guys im kinda in a situation and i need your help. i just recently bought a sig cap 231ex 25%. i have an o.s. 120ax i was planing on putting it in. i was reading around some forums and i heard that guys were using o.s. 160s and that it wasn't a very good 3d performer. i also heard it was a little heavy (9-11 pounds) for its size. a buddy of mine told me about wild hares new 25% extra and edge. those are light (about 8 1/2 pounds) and i heard that a 120 would be more than enough power. i am eventually wanting to get into 3d stuff. i just want to know your opinion should i keep the cap or sell it and buy the extra. also how would the o.s. 120 do in that plane.

i had 2 of those sig caps many years ago and it flew very well and at that time all I knew how to do was a blender and it did those well. I think my kits were more n the 11-11.5 on Satio 180 motors and ncad batteries...

Ahh fond memories.

I had an OS 160 twin FS in mine and it flew like a rocket. Of course I was trying to just fly straight lines, loops and rolls in those days.

My only comment with it looking back is it was heavy but mostly my fault in those days and it tip stalled like a SOB if you slowed up too much.

Its not a 3D machine and was never meant to be. But good plain IMAC type stuff it will more than handle and with ease.

Go with the Wild Hare. It's a great quality plane that flies really well. If you have anything wrong with it then just talk to Tom. He'll back up his planes 100%.

I got the sig cap, running an os 160 in it. This thing won't tip stall, when you try to make it stall, it just mushes. Its awesome

Luke.

You kept it light and that makes all the difference in the world. Just as a question however what does it do if you try to pull it into a wall. Will it pop straight up or does it roll out as the wing goes past the stall.

Its just for interests sake as I have seen one other that was a proper mutha tip stalling and it was slightly lighter than mine.

I haven't tried it personally. When you enter into a spin, you need to pull a heap of elevator to keep the height, and at the last point pull full, it will mush then you need to force it which ever way you want it to fall. I have my first IMAC comp with it two weekends ago, and I placed 2nd, against other 50cc models
