You never know what you can haul around if you really want to try. I actually hauled my 3.1M to a field about an hour away with about 16 inches hanging over the tailgate. (this is while I was working on my trailer) I have seen a picture on here of someone hauling a 40% to the field on top of a jeep.

You can haul anything anywhere if you really want to.

I have always pretty much had wood airframes....I do have a "Lion-Air" composite Extra and I never have to iron the fuse. The wings and stabs are wood though and the covering needs ironing frequently.
I too have never liked the seam down the middle but I dont think all of them are that way. I really dont like manufacturers name permanently on the ailerons or wherever they put them.

Given the challenging nature of this thread's purpose- the demeanor exhibited by everyone has been fantastic! You guys really are great! Thanks

FastnLow - 48%!!? WOW again!
48 pounds, not percent. Seems a little heavy, but the 212b4 pulls a 48lb plane like a champ.

What is worse...the seam down the center of the fuse, or the wrinkled mess on most saran wrap covered planes. Both are challenges...Most the time neiter affect flight...unless the covering has completely come un done, or the seam starts to split down the middle. Personally...I would rather have the seam. Compy does a great job of putting a pin strip over the seam and it pretty much disappears. Worse case scenario...airbrush over the seams and they will be gone forever. No amount of ironing will permanently remove the wrinkles.

This is not meant to stir up argument...just other things to think of. I have compys...I have several Extreme Flight planes covered in UltraCote...and just aqcuired a TopFlite Corsair that has been glassed and painted. They all have their advantages and disadvantages...I like to fly them...and then fly them again if possible

When you spend the kind of money it takes to go composite, make sure that you have the best looking Pilot Figure that money can buy. All composite, lightweight (5oz) 40% Scale IMAC-Style Mega Pilots are the bomb. They come fully painted, assembled and you can customize the color and finish.
