Practice, practice, practice.... Oh, and you can probably check the thrust lines and maybe fine tune the CG... But practice, practice, practice... |

Breezy... I have to admit the Funtana X100 is probably one of the more tricky planes to torque roll with..but not impossible.... What engine size - what prop?? Rudder expo?? usually helps to keep you from over controllling the rudder. Another strange thing I found is that it actually behaves better in hover with the SFGs on... not sure why but it does seem more stable in hover for me anyway... Ronster |

You may not have your cg back far enough. It should hold a 45 degree upline inverted hands off for a little while. Mine was super easy to hover/tr with an OS 160 up front. You may be lacking power as well. Oh yeah and practice till your sick of it and then practice some more. |

Practice, a lot. It is the same inputs as keeping a plane flying straight. Rearward CG helps a little but it's not necessary. Only concern here is your motor. I don't know if you'll be able to TR with a .91. You have the right prop for it though. There's no tricks to hovering. You learn it on your own.

First start learning to hover with the plane. If you can't hold a nice steady hover or move the plane around while in a hover then chances are you will not be able to torque roll the plane with any descent effieciency. The plane may or may not need constant corrections depending on if its setup correctly. You should trim the rudder when in 3D rates so that the plane holds a good straight hover when pointing perfectly vertical. Sim time really helps your reaction times but true flight time is whats needed to get the feel of your funtana x. |

practice high enough to save yourself if you get into trouble... Learning to torque roll the correct way can be pretty tricky once your staring at the belly instead of the top of the plane. I could never get the CG on my Funtana 100X set exactly where i wanted it... It was either too nose heavy, or too tail heavy...anyone else have that problem? maybe i just suck at balancing ![]() you should invest in a Saito 125, that engine is SWEEEET!

A thrust line is the "cone" of air that comes behind the prop. If your control surfaces arent close to the fuse, you have almost no control of making it stay still. If you wana torqe roll, no biggie :P
