Dance with who ya came with! The 6102 is a very capable radio. You do not have all the bells and wistles of a proclass radio but people usually need to work up to them. I have seen guys show up with trainers with 10x's. It is really cool but they have NO idea what the radio can do. Your 6 has dual rates, expo, dual rate on the rudder, will easily handle dual channel ailerons and could be mixed for dual elevator servos. You can fly most planes well with those features alone. You will have to "fly through" some conditions that a proclass radio could program out, but if your airplane is mostly neutral it will not be an issue. As far as a plane, if you are looking for something in the 60 size range, I cannot say enough good things about the Fliton Extra 330 freestyle. For a plane of it's size to come with a carbon wing tube and airfoiled tail group is almost unheard of. Just do yourself a favor and get the carbon gear from graphtech. The plane tracks like an arrow, will slow roll from one end of the field to the other. Turn on the high rates and watch her dance. Very light plane, no bad habits. Not a 40% by any means, but it can really make you smile. Most of all, fly and have fun. Fly with purpose and you will be really good in no time. |
