Default DALTON 300 build

Any of you guys interested in seeing a Dalton 300 go together ??? I started on it a couple days ago and can post pics and info as I go along if any one is interested. It is pretty much the same as the 260 but I will be doing some mods to the wings. I am clipping 1.5" off of each wing at the tip. Also I will be running 2 5955's on each wing and moving the outboard servo all the way inside the wing tube. In order to do this I am going to lay a carbon truss in each aileron before the wing is sheeted to stiffen them up.

Jonas

I'm game for seeing it.

Does anyone think he's going to do a 100cc version like he did with the 260?

I have asked this question. The word I had was that if it happens, it would likely be toward the end of 07. It would be cool, imo. Hmmmm two Dalton 300 birds in a trailer by Jan 08? Sounds good to me!

I gotta finish building my 260 first, it was more of a curiousity thing than anything. If he doesn't make one, then there's going to be a 39% Extra 300 in my future.

Ok, here are a few pics. Basically the fuse is the same as the 260 with the wing lowered around 3/8" to 1/2", I don't remember the exact measurement that I took off of my 260. I didn't take many pics of this part due to the fact that it is almost identical to the 260.

In the first pic, I use a 10cc syringe and a blunt 18 guage needle with a bevel on the tip to apply titebond before all the joints are joined and after to the seam. You use only the glue needed and have a very clean joint.

More pics:

The mini table top saw is bad ass for stringers and stuff. I think I saw it in Walt's build thread. The best $39.99 I have spent! The mini chop saw in nice also but I dulled the blade when I first got it playing around with some brass tubing. I need to get a new blade and see what it can do.
