John Wondra Here, im in the shop as we speak. Were working on some verry custom ideas never used on a carden before (when I say we, I mean Levi), il give you all a hint, it involves lazer cutting and carbon fiber... =P picts to come soon! Tomarow il tell you all a story about my ghetto trip over the pass with my little pickup truck ejecting its driverside windshield wiper in 14 degree weather with snow so bad you can barely see the tail lights infront of you... good times lol...

Levi here..... That was John AKA.... "Spooge" above.... Been having fun planning the radio install out. Sorry for the lack of pics lately, glad to be back up and running. So Chris is back from his deployment and has the laser up and running... I made a trip over there with John tonight and we cut some parts out. Here are some of the little things that it burned up... some cooler, larger parts getting installed tomarrow. Corner gussets really help out on the tortional strength. 10 of them weigh a mere 6 grams. and the tube supports for the tail servo wire weigh in at a whopping 3 grams for all 5. The carbon tube for the leads will shield the RF from the signal wire, and adds only 7 grams. But most of all.... IT LOOKS SWEET! |

| Chris had a super idea for squaring up the wing tube to the fuse... so out came the plans and some jigs made up. These babies are within 1/100th of a degree accurate to each other, laser cut and clamped to the fuse. so now that the fuse is flying square to the wing, the stab will get the same treatment with the smaller rear hole. "Rumor" has it that he is working on a custom adjustable version cut out of acrylic plastic that will work on all 1.5" wing tubes and any fuse taper angle. I'm sure you'll here more when I get the prototype of it here to test. |

Those parts look good in there Levi! I thought they looked good on the laser table! Glad the wingtube jig worked out. I will finish up your acrylic one as soon as I get those other Secret Squirrel things taken care of! Chris |

| Well I started milling a new DA 175 to put on my plane.... but all I ended up with was a mold for the carbon servo wire tube.... maybe next time.... It's wrapped up with mold release on the mandrel, then taped good. That black sheet is carbon. (Duh) and I'm working out all the micro air pockets to get a glass smooth finish for all the parts that will be cut out for the fuse. |

Levi, good to see you standing up in the pics. Recovery must be well on its way. Love the laser cut pieces. I wish I had one of those tools here in my shop - keep the pics up. This is truly a unique Carden build. Ken |

The tube and gussets look awesome. No way that tube is coming out of there! Nice jig for the wing tube also. I just use the wire to the tailpost method, but the jig once made up would be very fast to use, awesome! Will B. Windecker, not NCFR gal (my wife)
