Wow, what a great job. How do you cut those monokote patterns? I saw in one of the pictures what seems to be a vinyl cutter, is it? if so, what brand and model? If you use it for cutting the monokote designs, what software do you use for the drawings? I am about to start covering my new Carden 260 and I could use a new method (The last one I did the "xacto" way. Its good, but never as involved and great as yours.) Thanks for sharing, happy flying George |

The letters and such are cut on the vinyl cutter. takes ALOT of setup and practice to get it to cut monoKote without cutting the back clear layer... or not cutting all the way through. all the lines and "swoops" are done by hand... I just look at the pics and lay it out the airframe and cut it in place... around 100 #11 blades got used while covering... can't cut into the balsa while doing it. |

Since I know John is trapped for the next day or so in Levi's shop while there is covering going on, how about an update? --Paul
