OK, back to work. I wanted to dress up the canopy a little so here's my simple and easy way to do it. Thanks to Rod S for the idea. Took 4 1/2 inch thick sheets of foam, glued them togeather and cut them in the shape of a dash board.

From there I traced out the pieces on a sheet of balsa and glued em on, sand, then apply paint, and done. Took me about 10 mins to get it all done. and it looks sweet.

From there I masked off the canopy and sprayed the inside. I think it makes it look much sharper. The Spray came from Home Depot.

Ok, back to the building part. It's time to put the vertical fin on. Very simple, I leveled the plane on the vert. fin bed before gluing it. Just to be sure that it wouldn't have a chance of sliding one way or another. After that I just mixed some 30 min epoxy and set the vert. fin on, if anyone else is building one of these (or any plane that needs the vert fin glued on) Just be sure to tape it down like in the pic, and also have some alcohol or some type of glue remover to wipe any excess epoxy that might seep out of the seams when it's glued together.

While thats drying I started to fuel proof the motor box. In My opinion I think you could use a few things to do this. I was about to use outdoor polyurethane, and I think that would be fine, but at the last second I decided to go with what I know works. So, I mixed up a bunch of 30 Min epoxy and thinned it out with denatured alcohol. It seemed to work well for this application.

Hey Jay don't forget to glass the firewall besides fuel proofing the motor box.

Hey Kev, I havent decided yet what I'm gona do as far at that goes. I could glass it, pin it, or use some angle and bolt it up. I'm gona wait till I get the motor and see whare the CG ends up and then decide.

| Hey JayB Wow realy starting to look good, is that open holes in the motor box? if so are you going to close them up with something? Also Why not paint that engine compartment it will look good when you have to pull off the cowl at the field. |

I had thought about painting it, But not sure yet. I want to get everything mounted and then take it off and paint it, if I do. As far as the motor box, Yeah it's got holes in the sides. I'm not going to cover them. It'll be fine. I may make some holes in the back of the fuse to let the pressure out. my wild hare had open holes on it and it was never a problem. I think it should be ok.

Got some more work done, I got all the servos in and installed all the hinges. Everything was very straight forward. I put a tube in the rear of the fuse to keep the servo wires for the elevators neat. Installed the gas tank, I4C's, and now getting ready to set up the battery system. Killer graphics are also on the way. heres some pics.
