Anyone ever tried this? Sitting here getting ready to hinge an airplane and always use epoxy. I was thinking that canopy glue (rc56) might work well.

JEEUM, I had a full scale scale guy show me a trick about epoxy, he put me on to mixing epoxy with "flocks" which is ground up cotton. This thickens the mix to the point it can't run anywhere and it slows the cure but most important it makes the glue joints stronger and more flexible. I swear by this and I use for everything! Doesn't the canopy glue stay kind of flexible? I've had a handful of canopies from smaller planes fall off after a couple hundred flights. Not something I would want to happen to my hinges.

I have used the Zap hinge glue on them and other flat, pinned hinges before with great results. RC56 I have not used for hinges. Doesn't sound like it would work too well but it would be interesting to test.

Im with Jim-MD, I have used Pacer Hinge Glue alot with great results, but have never tried canopy glue, it would seem to be too rubber-like for me when it cures.
