Here's the problem when using the nut system on tapered ailerons. I will show you how to fix this problem in later session. Basically as you can see, it does not sit flush. Please don't hesitate to jump in and share your technique with all of us!

Guys,

Please ask any questions you may have, make any suggestions that you may have. This is a public build thread and I would like all of us to learn something even one thing out of it. I have been learning from others and still looking forward to learn more and more. No comment or question is stupid in my book! There are good comments and there are better ones!

Thank you,
Reza

Reza,

In the picture of the Python on the opening page of this site, it looks like the front of the cowl is completely opened up. Are you going to cut out the painted part at the front of the cowl so it is just a big round opening?

Reza,

You can use a horn similar to this:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGWD9&P=7

This is a smaller version but the washer at the bottom will allow for your angle and still allow a tight fit.

In this case a neoprene bonded washer would allow you to take up the gap; it will give you the flexibility you need and yet be rigid enough.

Hi Reza,

Those control horns are designed for mounting on a square hard point similar to MK horns. Check this out on Central Hobbies. http://www.centralhobbies.com/buildi...rns/step9.html

Cheers
Jason.

I had the pleasure to see QQ fly the prototype at the Joe Nall this year. It was great. I also watched as he assyembled the plane, even while answereing many questions from on lookers he did it pretty guickly. I was very impressed at the quality and attention to delail. I want one.

Reza, thanks for sharing this build thread with us! I'll be watching this one closely! I have been on the wait list for this thing for awhile now, and am really looking forward to this plane. This build thread should hold me over till they finally start shipping!

Thank you very much for the inputs. I love the Neoprene washer idea!
