Ok guys.

Here the deal.
Post legitimate concerns, constructive criticism, and positive thoughts,
but the negative crap will be tossed.
You guys know the drill. If you want to hang out in our play ground, you gotta follow the posted rules.

Even if your a nut job who would like to see this fail.. why wouldn't you sit back and let it ride?
I never will understand negative people... really strange.

Personally, I fully believe Bob will get near his goal (if not meet it).
And as he stated its a Goal... its not like if he builds the plane and it is 125 lbs it will explode into flames....

The man has (several times) proven people wrong without so much as uttering a response. So lets see what he comes up with, take notes and see if you can't learn something.

Once again.. were watching...

Carry on !!

Wow Bob, this is an awesome project! Cant wait to see what you come up with.
Peroanally guys, I've always found that out of the box thinkers like Bob are the guys that keep us moving forward and doing things differently and better.
OK, no doubt it depends on the source and we've all heard some pie in the sky ideas from relitive nut jobs from time to time. But in this case, I think Bob has already more than proven that he is capable of pulling off a huge (pardon the pun) project like this and doing it very well.
I'm excited to see what you come up with. Let me know if I can help!

Mr Sawyer,

What do you think the performance will be like with the 342cc engine on a 100lb plane? Are you going for scale flying, mild aerobatics, or hovering capability? I admire anyone that can scratch build something of this caliber. I myself have issues with ARFs ;-)

In these pictures the fuse weight is at 13lbs 10 ozs. The Staudacher at this stage was nearly 45 lbs.
P.S. That is one of my buddies with the airplane Mr. Mike Columbo.

The name "King" has been used to describe people such as Elvis, and Richard Petty. Now it is used to describe Bob Sawyer.
