Looking Good Tony!

I reinforced the cross supports on the rudder servo tray w/ 1/4" x 1/4" hardwood to stiffen and strengthen. I help with rudder precision during hard 3D manuevers. I really noticed a difference when stopping a fast inverted flat spin, and be pointed in the right direction for the next manuever.

Just a tip.

However with the canopy weighing twice the weight of mine and with such a light engine he has to add plenty of lead in the nose to sort his CoG. If the lead ever drops out-She'll come down like a sac o' spuds. Now the engine has to be perfectly tuned for him to get any usable power in the vert. "Its a bit slow in the uplines" would be a under-statement. The poor ol' Da is humping a serious lunker around with all the extra lead. Ive got nicads on rx and 3cell lipo on ignition with a MVVS 58 upfront with no need for extra lead to sort the CG. The power is great Beware of the lightweight must-haves? Might leave ya chasing yer tail
Had a good look at my mate inkys 88" at the weekend and managed to sort his overweight problems. It all started to go wrong for him when he made a 8th ply plate to mount the regulators and battries on, He positioned it 12" behind the cg and combined with the weight of the pilot n cockpit made it way behind the recomended rearward cg point. Tail heavy as tats he put 2 lbs of lead on the nose and made it sit on the rearward cg mark. The all up weight must of been 19.5 lbs maybe even 20lbs plus. At least it was a insight of what the wing loading on the 88" would be if one was to install a DA85. (Madness)-Wing-rock delux in the upright harrier Anyway i persuaded inky to ripp out that chunky ply plate n make a smaller one right up front. Moving the battries n regulators as far forward as poss'. All the lead is now off the nose and the cg is on the rearward point. Saving 2-lbs off the all up weight has made a big big difference. Just shows how a rushed installation will get ya into nothing but nighmares. Looking forward to seeing him enjoy the plane as it was ment to fly.

Top tip mate. I strengthened the rudder supports and flat spins are loads easier. Its amazing how a tiny bit of movement on the rudder mounting makes things trickyer. Thanks for the heads up buddie

Sorry about the long update. i havnt had a lot of time for pics. But anyway here some pics. the plane is almost RTF, I'm waiting on the batteries, switches, regulators, and all i have to do is mount the reciver. pretty much finished. this plane was definitly really easy to build! The hardware that is included is amazing!
i made an removable tray for the reciver, reciver battery, and regulator. All servos are mounted in. Hitec 5955's all around. DA 50 with the DA 50 muffler, Mej. 23X8 prop, and Petes 4" carbon fiber spinner. I got some graphics on the plane as well.
