Default Re: Extreme-Flight 88" Yak 54 BUILD

Hi everyone.
The maiden was great! The 88" Exreme-Flight Yak 54 is definitly the best 30%er ive flown. It has NO bad characteristics like all the other 30%ers ive flow. a lot of them tend to be "snappy." This Yak has none of that! It is very controllable and smooth. it fly's precision and 3D like crazy! The rolls are very axail, which makes the rolling harriers really easy to do! It hovers really stable and under control. Rolling harriers are super smooth and easy to do with this plane. It fly's SUPER light and weighs really light. i will get the exact weight soon. The CG was pretty much neutral, but just a tad tail heavy.
I have a video here that has flights from my 2nd and 3rd flight. And i also have some pics of the completled plane. i will upload them later tonight.

This plane is amazing. The ARF/hardware is awsome. The building is very easy and quick.

What glue did you use to attach the black inlet baffle to the cowl?

Skyman,

Welcome to FG!!!

I believe that Extreme Flight has the 88" in stock again. I seriously doubt that you will find one used. At least for a while.

As far as your Edge, why don't you start a new thread about it. I'm sure with all teh experience on this site, someone will be able to tell you exactly what to do.

hornet dave - I used Amazing GOOP. If you have not tried this stuff- you need to. Second only to 100% silicone for adhesive qualities- and in some rights - IMO- may even be the best stuff around.
