All, I am happy to report I have received the first part of an order I placed with LJJ for CNC parts. The quality of the wood and laser cutting is superb. I will be documenting my building experience with LJJ's parts. LJJ is putting together some documentation for proper assembly of the CNC parts. I will not start any assembly till I have that document. Here are some pictures of the parts I received today. I have more parts on the way! I will post pictures of the other parts when I receive them. Last edited by BDSBob; 12-20-2007 at 09:16 PM. |

Here is a picture of the engine box parts assembled without any glue. The parts fit together perfectly. The frame is surprisingly rigid even without glue! Last edited by BDSBob; 12-21-2007 at 03:30 PM. |

I don't know if Levi is offering parts for planes other than the Extra 260. Levi should be contacted with any questions you have regarding upgraded CNC parts. Thanks- Bob Last edited by BDSBob; 12-21-2007 at 03:29 PM. |

I wasn't sure about the rules for links to other websites, so I deleted it. I also don't want to give the impression that I am promoting someone or sponsored by anyone - I am not. That's it, plain and simple. I am sure you can find any web site you need with a little searching. Last edited by BDSBob; 12-21-2007 at 06:46 PM. |

Hi Bob, good to see the parts made the coast to coast trip without damage. I was worried about some of the small tabs that extend on the Motor box top plate. Answering Q's--- You don't need to send your parts over... too much hassle with shipping and alignment for cutting. I posted some details and pictures at www.levijordan.com Trying to find time between Christmas Shopping trips, and office party's to put the finishing text on the build guide. Parts are for the 330/260/300 Midwing in 40% scale. If someone wants to prototype the parts for the 43% 260/300 let me know when your kit arrives! Chris and I do the cutting ourselves... he CNCL and I CNCR. So if you've got some feedback and input, please let us know. One set sent out was for a 300 Midwing, but 3W170 power, so we changed a few parts to fit that motor/mounting pattern and Pefa cans... I do this for fun, so if you've got a challenge or need something different, let me know. Thanks! Levi |

I've finished the build guide... I've got some grammatical errors to correct in it still, so be nice about my spelling. Some good info about glue tests and more details on the how the whole thing fits together. http://www.levijordan.com/files/Card...t%20Manual.pdf You thought we were just kidding about being a couple of Dumb White Boys! ![]() Proud to be a straight C- student who spent all my time in English Class drawing airplane designs! Thanks Ward.... I'll be adding more details to it and replacing some pics with better ones. Update: Over Christmas break we're finishing CAD work on the full set of parts for 35% 260/330! We got a custom request for this, so it's gonna be available after the first for anyone else who's got a Carden 35%'r on the shelf or in the works. |
